I’m someone who stumbled into the world of artificial intelligence completely by accident—and quickly realized I never wanted to leave.

It started three years ago when I was trying to solve a mundane problem at work. I needed to analyze hundreds of customer feedback forms, and a colleague casually mentioned, “Why don’t you just ask ChatGPT to help?” I had no idea what that meant, but fifteen minutes later, I was staring at my screen in disbelief. This thing had not only understood what I needed but had given me insights I would have spent days uncovering manually.

That moment changed everything.

I’m not a researcher publishing papers in prestigious journals, and I’m definitely not a developer writing the next breakthrough algorithm. I’m just a curious human who fell down the AI rabbit hole and discovered a world that’s both thrilling and terrifying, practical and philosophical, accessible and completely mind-bending.

What Fascinates Me About AI

What keeps me up at night (in the best way) is how AI is quietly revolutionizing everything we thought we knew about work, creativity, and human potential. I’m fascinated by the small moments—like watching my neighbor use AI to help her dyslexic son with homework, or seeing a local artist collaborate with AI to create installations that neither human nor machine could have imagined alone.

But I’m equally captivated by the big questions: What happens when AI can write better than most humans? How do we maintain our humanity in a world where machines can mimic empathy? What does creativity even mean when anyone can generate beautiful art or compelling stories with a few keystrokes?

Why I Write About AI

This blog is my attempt to make sense of it all—both for myself and for anyone else who’s trying to navigate this strange new world we’re building together. It’s my space to share what I’ve learned along the way: the aha moments that made me rethink everything, the practical tips that actually work in real life, and the strange and sometimes unsettling questions that AI raises about ethics, creativity, and what it fundamentally means to be human.

I write about the AI tools that have genuinely changed how I work and think. I explore the implications of living in a world where artificial intelligence is becoming as common as smartphones. I wrestle with the ethical dilemmas that keep philosophers and technologists awake at night, but I try to ground them in everyday experiences we can all relate to.

My Approach: Learning Out Loud

Think of this as a learning journal—equal parts curiosity, reflection, and exploration—written by someone who is figuring it out in real time and inviting you to do the same. I don’t have all the answers (honestly, I’m not sure anyone does), but I believe the questions are worth exploring together.

I’m not here to convince you that AI is humanity’s salvation or its doom. I’m here to help us all think more clearly about what’s happening, what it means for our daily lives, and how we can shape this technology rather than simply being shaped by it.

What You’ll Find Here

My writing covers the practical and the profound:

Real-world AI applications that are changing how we work, learn, and create—from the obvious to the unexpected.

Ethical explorations of what happens when machines become our collaborators, competitors, and sometimes our replacements.

Human stories about how people are adapting to, resisting, and reimagining their lives alongside artificial intelligence.

Honest assessments of both the incredible potential and legitimate concerns that come with this technology.

Practical guides for anyone trying to understand how AI might fit into their work, their art, or their daily routine.

Why Your Perspective Matters

The most important thing you should know about me is that I don’t believe I’m the expert in this conversation—we all are. Every person wrestling with how to use AI ethically in their work, every parent wondering how to prepare their kids for an AI-driven world, every artist exploring what creativity means when machines can paint, every worker adapting to AI colleagues—we’re all pioneers in this strange new territory.

I write because I believe we need more thoughtful, nuanced conversations about AI. Less hype, less fear-mongering, more genuine curiosity about what we’re building and whether we’re building it well.

So whether you’re a complete AI newcomer, a skeptical observer, or someone who’s been experimenting with these tools for years, I hope you’ll find something here that sparks your own thinking. And more importantly, I hope you’ll share your own insights, questions, and experiences.

After all, we’re all figuring this out together.
